In 2008 the Canary Island Palm Company was engaged and entrusted by Hamton Developers with the task of relocating a massive 15 metre trunk heritage listed Canary Island Date Palm from within the initial grounds of Stonnington Mansion to a new position within the estate due to land subdivision.

The Canary Island Date Palm was a massive palm weighing in over 18 ton which presented challenges to the staff of Canary Island Palm Company who successfully extracted and replanted the heritage listed palm into the intended new position.
