The Canary Island Date Palm (Phoenix canariensis), native to the Canary Islands off north-eastern Africa, has been widely planted throughout the world in parks, holiday resorts, and along coasts and boulevards.

Growing to some 20m or 60ft tall, the Canary Island Date Palm is very imposing with its distinctive trunk and immense regal crown a statement is made.
